Sports are (almost) BACK

It is time to get down to it.

WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED that by the time Summer 2020 rolled around we would be in the middle of a pandemic, living in a still-mostly shutdown world and yet have (almost) every single sport at our fingertips.

On August 2nd, there are 16 different sporting events happening in one day. One - Six

Hard to believe, I know.

What I am sure of is the schedule organization of the dedicated sport viewer that is to come. (Not to mention working in your regular WFH hours in around all those games.)

First up?

The MLB Double Header tonight (Thursday) featuring the Washington Nationals vs New York Yankees at 7:08 p.m. EST, followed by the LA Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants at 10:08 p.m. EST.

Report: MLB 'unlikely' to hit target date for 2020 season

Check back on Saturday for a breakdown of the season opener for the Toronto Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays at 6:40 p.m. EST and (maybe) an update on where our misfit Jays will be calling 'home' this season.

What is next?

The NBA kicks off its restart (officially) on July 30th with a double header from the 'bubble'

in Orlando, FL from the ESPN Wide World of Sport complex.

The Toronto Raptors will take to the court against LeBron and the LA Lakers at 8:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, August 1st.

The NHL heads to the bubble this weekend to isolate ahead of the start of play-in/seeding games on Saturday, August 1st, and in just a few short days we will begin to see life in the bubble and what it entails in Toronto and Edmonton for the 24 teams in question.

Let's just be straight up - it's going to be a busy month,

and I for one cannot wait to get it started.
